Loudoun County Barn Wedding

Tracie and Mark

2020 was full of so many unique, small weddings and I am so honored to have been able to capture these beautiful moments for this young couple in October. I first met this couple in 2019 when we did a couples portrait session for their holiday cards – so I was thrilled to hear of their engagement and later to be invited to be their photographer when they celebrated their love for each other in front of their closest family and friends.

This Location Was Just Perfect For Them

Tracie’s father secured this amazing farm location in western Loudoun County and I have to say, it was absolutely perfect for this couple’s style. After the ceremony we took some time to walk the grounds and found this lovely fence which added the perfect framing feature for their photos.

Isn’t That Red Barn Door Spectacular?!

The barn that Mark and Tracie had their wedding in has this amazing set of red doors out front and it matched their wedding colors just perfectly. I love how the door is so eye catching, yet doesn’t steal the show from the beautiful bride.

Recreating Images

During their couples photo session in 2019 we spontaneously created a similar image with a large leaf, so when we were doing our stroll around the farm grounds and found the same type of large leaf, I knew we had to recreate this special image for them now that they were married. I love how it turned out with the fall colors in the background and the sun just starting to set.
